Decorative brass sheet is inspected differently from general machining stock. For visible panels, nameplates and hardware, grade and dimensions are only the baseline; brushing direction, face consistency, protective film, edge condition and scratches can directly affect the finished appearance. The RFQ should therefore identify the visible face, finish direction and protection requirement.

Where cut-to-size, deburring or downstream machining is required, finished dimensions, tolerance, flatness and edge condition should be controlled together with the decorative-face requirement. For projects sensitive to appearance variation, define the acceptance method and batch requirement rather than relying on grade designation alone.
